We are pleased to announce that the first DataBeers event in Poland will take place in August 2021. It is an international formula of specialized meetings, where data conversations take place in a relaxed atmosphere over a cold beer. In this way, open space is created for the exchange of experiences and listening to anecdotes directly from practitioners. One of them at the next event will be the CEO of Transparent Data, Arek Hajduk.
Unlike traditional conferences and presentations, speakers only have 6 minutes and 40 seconds to tell a story. So it will be concise and interesting without unnecessary formalities or monotonous introductions. The topics of the speeches may include Data Science, Machine Learning, Big Data, data integration, interesting data visualizations, as well as problems faced by every person working with information.
The idea of DataBeers was born in Madrid in 2014, and since then, 18 cities from different parts of Europe have joined the initiative. Although the topic would seem to be a niche, hundreds of people come to meetings in Barcelona and we hope to see this intiative to flourish same way in Poland. Gliwice, which will host DataBeers Silesia, is the first Polish city to use this proven, modern formula, so as to go out of the box beyond the classic data analysis and expand it with the vast world of new opportunities that is already emerging around us.
The originator and organizer of DataBeers Silesia is the independent non-governmental organization Media 3.0 Foundation, whose main core activity is data opening and development of journalism based on reliable information.
