We are proud and happy to announce that this month our software house Transparent Data has joined the Federation of Business Information Services FEBIS. Thus, we found ourselves in the world elite of business information and debt collection providers.
This highly reputable international industry association is involved in monitoring changes in data protection law and bankruptcy, and oversees the correct use of public data sources. It gathers currently over 130 members from all over the world involved in providing Business Information and Debt Collection services.
The history of FEBIS begins in 1793 in Frankfurt, when some of the leading European credit information agencies joined forces to form the Federation initially known as FECRO. It makes it one of the oldest business industry associations in Europe, which is still active and fulfills its mission.
Over time, the organization gained well-deserved reputation, influence and new members. Today gathers over 130 Business Information and Debt Collection providers from all 7 continents who offer their services both nationally and internationally. In numbers it gives a combined workforce of more than 30 thousand employees and 1.3 trillion Business Information and Consumer reports annually.
FEBIS members not only have the opportunity to exchange experiences with each other or establish useful contacts, but also jointly initiate a number of activities aimed at making regulatory issues more compatible with credit reporting and financial systems. As part of a collaborative network, they provide each other industry insights, contribute to the development of manageable data protection policies, enable better reuse of public sector information and work hard to provide SMEs better access to company data, financial statements and credit information.
